Love Story
Freshman year, both of the men's and women's soccer teams had a meet and greet in one of the dorms on campus.
When I got there, the guys were on one side of the room and the girls were on the other (very highschool-esque), so I
decided to walk over and talk to a group of the guys. Dante happended to be in that group and, of all the other
guys, he was the only one who could carry a conversation. From there I knew we'd either be best friends or end up
together.
As we spent more time together, things just clicked, and we made it official on October 8th, 2019.
Funny enough, that date turned into our soccer numbers – 10 and 8. I could tell this relationship was different from my previous ones as there was a notable level of maturity
and authenticity that made it feel more genuine. From there the rest is history and I'm so excited to
be able to experience all the highs and lows of life with him. -Lena

How did we first meet?

What was your first impression?
The first thing I thought when I saw Lena was "I think that's balloon girl"
(referring to an instagram post she made for her CMU acceptance). I also thought she was really cute and loved her long hair. -Dante
I first noticed Dante also through social media and thought he was going to be really short because
of the
pictures he posted with his friends.
Turns out he just has really tall friends. But when I saw him
in person, I definitely recognized his muscles and calm persona. -Lena
Who's the best cook?
Me for sure! If you want cereal. -Lena
Where are you going for your honeymoon?
Costa Rica 🌺🍹🏝️🍍🐠
The dorkiest thing about us is
We play Just Dance on our lunch breaks
What's the most memorable trip you have taken together?
After graduation we took a 6 week road trip around the U.S....literally. Some of our most memorable stops (outside of seeing family and friends) were hiking and stargazing at the Grand Canyon, seeing the sunrise at Rocky Mountains, getting thunderstormed on in Austin, TX, and going to Epcot and Animal Kingdom at Disney World.

Who said I love you first?
Dante told me as we were coming out of CMU's food hall wrapping up dinner. I could tell he had something on his mind but I wasn't sure what he was going to say. That's when he turned to me and proceeded to tell me how he felt, under the stars 😊 -Lena
What did you do on your first date together?
We went to a mexican restaurant and Lena ordered steak fajitas, which is what I wanted as well, but I ordered a burrito instead to be different. Looking back, I should've just ordered the fajitas. -Dante
